PAGE 2 GUEST EXPERT: Megan and Justin Churchman Megan and Justin Churchman are a dynamic brother-and-sister fundraising and philanthropic team that has been championing multiple causes from a very young age. Justin Churchman, 20, is an engineering major at the University of Texas at El Paso. He is the founder of Build Better Lives, an El Paso, Texas nonprofit dedicated to eliminating homelessness in Juarez, Mexico, one house at a time. The siblings earlier this year shared an international Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and in 2011 Justin was named a CNN Heroes Young Wonder for raising more than $80,000 to build more than two dozen houses in Mexico. Megan Churchman, a senior at the University of Texas at El Paso, is the founder of Global Hands, a youth-led foundation that seeks to better the lives of children worldwide. She is the recipient of the international Simms Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award given by the AFP for her work in Africa and Mexico.
