The Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, or HR 9495, has passed a vote in the House. If approved by the Senate, this bill would grant the Treasury Department broad powers to label nonprofit organizations, especially those that have been critical of Israel, as supporters of "terrorism" and strip them of their tax-exempt status without due process.
