Nonsense on stilts

from Planet Normal

The National Health Service or the National Covid Service? The latter, according to this week’s Planet Normal guest, Nick Stokes' whose beloved wife, Joy, was a casualty of the NHS’s transition to ’telemedecine’ after vital signs of her cancer were missed. She died just a few weeks ago. On this week's show, Nick entrusts Telegraph columnists Allison Pearson and Liam Halligan with his story, telling them how Joy was continually refused face-to-face appointments despite having suffered from the disease in the past, and why he believes the health service is guilty of a dereliction of duty. Elsewhere on the pod: Are things going south for Labour? Liam dissects what he hails as an 'astonishing' election result, particularly in the former Labour stronghold of Hartlepool, and Allison tells us why the real Opposition isn't Sir Keir Starmer, but the UK media. Allison and Liam will be replying to comments beneath this article on Thursday 13th May from 11am-12pm: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2021/05/11/joys-needless-death-should-cautionary-tale-gps-still-hiding/ | Read more from Allison: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/authors/allison-pearson/ | Read more from Liam: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/authors/liam-halligan/ | Listen to Choppers Politics: https://www.playpodca.st/chopper | Need help subscribing or reviewing?
