Nora Maxwell (@norajmaxwell) on How to be a Better Ally

from Conversations with Cam · host Cameron Oaks Rogers

In this episode I talk to Nora Maxwell, an activist helping white and non black POC be better allies. We dive into her mission of educating followers through digestible, approachable, meaningful and creative content and making the switch from learning to doing. We discuss the individual, interpersonal, and structural ways to act in allyship, how to hold family and friends accountable, and the white fragility that may arise. Nora also shares her experience growing up in a biracial household. In the solo ending portion of this episode, I discuss implicit bias and what I've noticed as a podcast host and also try to unpack my current relationship with my financials.   Listen to Nora’s episode on the Too Smart for This podcast here Listen to my episode on the Too Smart for This podcast here Learn more about the Rivet School here Take the Harvard race implicit bias test here   Follow Nora Maxwell: Instagram: @norajmaxwell   Follow me: Instagram: @freckledfoodie Website: freckledfoodie.com TikTok: freckledfoodie Twitter: @freckledfoodie Youtube: Cameron Rogers / Freckled Foodie Pinterest: Freckled Foodie This episode was edited by Tim Flanzbaum Hosted on Acast.
