Noriko Tujiko @ Número Projecta

Japanese-born avant-pop performer, Noriko Tujiko is currently based in Paris. Noriko accompanied herself with atonal harmonies sung live over prerecorded tracks of her voice with backing music, lifting the audience up high with her wraith-like vocal gymnastics hidden beneath a demure, modest face sporting a great pair of oldskool standard issue black rim medical specs. While she played, she was accompanied on the screen behind her by a selection of visuals from the LOOP POOL PING PONG dvd produced by raumfurerprojektion, which includes 62 loops from 69 video artists. Noriko turned around to the screen here and there during her performance, having no idea what she would find there, and more than once she turned back towards the audience with a big grin on her face.
