Also speaking for the CPGB-ML is our general secretary Ranjeet Brar Sign up for email updates at thecommunists.org Comrade Yong Ri here gives a vivid sketch of the CURRENT international situation in the world and the strong socialist policy of the leadership of the Workers Party of Korea and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea that has enabled the nation to maintain its sovereignty and independence in the face of the unending hostility of US imperialism, upon whom it inflicted a heroic and historic defeat in the brutal 1950-1953 war of aggression waged by US imperialism on the Korean people under the leadership of Eisenhower and with the active participation of the Dulles Brothers. All, of course, at the behest of Wall Street. HE NOTES: It is the unwavering foreign policy stance of the DPR Korea to firmly uphold the principles of struggle against the enemy (Anglo-American imperialism and its satellites), to strengthen the united front with all independent and anti Imperialist forces and wage a resolute struggle against imperialist aggression and war schemes Nowadays unimaginable shocking events, beyond common sense, are taking place every day. Wars, bloodshed, political and economic destabilisation are becoming a daily occurrence. It is due to the gangster like geopolitical greed, and misuse of force by the hegemonic forces. As a result the inter-camp confrontation between the forces of domination and independence is getting more fierce. The high-handed practices of the US imperialists have had a destabilising impact upon its satellite forces and have further worsened the bloody situation in Europe and the Middle East. Today the world is witnessing a rampant resurgence of ultra-nationalism - the “America First” policy, [Israel] Zionism and Neo-Nazism in Ukraine - reminiscent of a century ago when the world was involved in global wars.
