Northern Irish writer and pilgrim Dermot Breen walked the Camino to honour his late wife.

Dermot's life was turned upside down when his beloved wife Jacqui died from cancer. He had to make sense of what he - and Jacqui - had been through and he had to try to get on with his life, keeping her memory alive. After walking 1000km in Northern Ireland, Dermot walked the Camino Norte. He talks here about writing, walking and willing, to overcome grief.
