Norway

A song for the wonderful country Norway in the scandanavian region of northern Europe. Naturally very beautiful, Norway is a beacon of light geopolitically as one of the leading progressive democracies on the planet and has features with how it's run I think we can all learn from. It's capital 'Oslo' translates to 'Meadow beneath the ridge'. I chose the mythological figure Freyja to include, a Norse goddess who I believe is particularly associated with diplomacy. The Norwegians are good at that when dealing with rational world leaders. The Oslo accord was and in certain aspects still is the closest Palestine and Israel have come to agreement and a path to peace. I love how from a birds eye view of time Norwegians turned an obvious strength evolved from projecting power forcefully through the Viking period to transforming that strength to a net civilised mindfulness. I think this is a fair summary and really shows us how projecting real power can be done through showing a way as opposed to forcing people along a particular path like so many global powers try to do and always fail because that method is blind to the social unity it destroys between countries and societies. Here's to Norway and thanks for the renewing of spirit you so elegantly deploy 🇳🇴☀️ It shows a really positive future for our kids.
