Norway's Electric Sales Record: Near 100% Saturation

A source examining the Norwegian automotive industry highlights that new electric vehicle sales reached an unprecedented peak in November 2025, constituting nearly 100% of all passenger car registrations for the month. Out of nearly 20,000 total vehicles registered, electric cars accounted for 97.6% of the volume, pushing gasoline, diesel, and hybrid registrations to marginal levels. Tesla maintained its dominance in the market with the largest share of sales for the month and year-to-date, followed by Volkswagen. This spike in EV adoption occurred during a period that saw overall registration numbers more than double compared to the previous year.
