For all the ups and downs this season has endured, the Sounders head into the final week of the regular season knowing that a win will secure the No. 2 seed in the West. The path to this point definitely hasn’t been as enjoyable as any of us would have liked, but I also suspect we’d have accepted this fate if it had been offered to us before the season began. Their latest win was a reasonably impressive 1-0 decision at San Jose in which Jordan Morris scored in the 94th minute.
