Nostalgia

On this week's podcast, we talk about nostalgia: "a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past." As I try to process the nostalgic feelings from visiting my old high school and upgrading my phone, I look back on my negative experiences with nostalgia, specifically dwelling in the past and how self-destructive it can be. On the other hand, we also talk about my positive experiences with nostalgia like my self-continuity and feelings of consistency apparent in the memories I look back on. At the end of the day, the net effect of nostalgia shows that life has some kind of meaning.
