A senior lecturer in Public Law at South Africa’s University of Cape Town, Dr Cathy Powell, says the fact that Jacob Zuma is no longer president of the African National Congress could negatively affect the dynamics of the so-called Zuma impeachment case. The Constitutional Court is this morning delivering judgment in the case. The Economic Freedom Fighters and other parties brought the case in a bid to seek impeachment proceedings against Zuma with regard to upgrades to his private home in Nkandla.
