So sticking with the NFL, we just witnessed what is probably the best Wookiee QB class of all time. And now we get to see what their sophomore year will look like in the upcoming season between Kale Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake May, Michael, Pennage, Jr, Jay J McCarthy and Bo Nitz, which young QB do you believe will continue to step up and which young QB do you see regrets? I think the one that has the biggest step in year two is going to be Michael Pennix because he played the least amount of all of the year one QBs. And he definitely had some some good highlight moments.
But the biggest thing is continuity. And we know that the Falcons definitely have offensive weaponry. So I think another year in the system, you know, he's the question leader and starting quarterback. I think he has the biggest jump.
I think who probably has the sophomore slump will be my guy in Denver. What's the name? Bo Nix? Bo Nix.
I think Bo Nix because when I don't even know if it's all going to be on Bo Nix, like, like it'd be his fault. But we're looking at a conference that I've never seen for Hall of Fame coaches in one conference like that. And if there is something to be exposed, he'll be exposed in that conference. And shout out to Smitty.
But we got a dollar of sales for him in the chat. Yeah. No, he's going crazy. Who am I?
I think Jay Daniels is going to take another step. I think that he's going to put a lot of it together. Just pre-snap. Everything pre-snap is going to be a lot tighter.
I think that just throwing mechanics is going to be better just because you have, you know, timing down, you understand you get in the second year with your receivers to your scoring. Even though, my corner is not at OTA's right now. They got to pay him. But the thing is I'm sure that he's getting off the field work with him probably offsite.
So you want to hope that the defense gets better and allows Washington to not have to rely on Jane Daniels magic too much, but the front seven is going to get better. So I think that that's going to help Jane Daniels and his stats as well. With Caleb, I think that he's not going to regress. I just think that it's just going to kind of plateau for me.
I don't see it with Caleb Williams. I really don't. I think that he's cool. I just think that it's like that Justin Herbert, like he might have some gaudy stats here and there from time to time.
He might be like premium Trevor Lawrence where it's like, you know what I mean? But that's just kind of what I see and Pinnix, I don't believe in Atlanta. So I don't know if that's going to happen, but he has a talent. Can they keep him healthy?
Who knows? For me, I agree with you before. I do think we're going to see some good stuff from Pinnix. He does have a lot of talent around him and they have the ability to get the ball in the right hands.
I think he's going to show that he's going to make a tremendous step from one to two for me as far as regressing. I think it's a Daniel's and the reason I think that is not I don't think he has far to fall. But at the same time, he like just blew everybody out the water making it to the championship game like that. It's going to be tough to do that year to when everybody got tape on you and the fact that the running game will be a little weaker.
The offensive line is kind of they get it together, but it's still like a little influx and the receiver continuity. You got got to be there. That's not there yet. So I don't know why I disagree with you, Shelton is because who's there?
O.C. What's his name? He's very quick. He's very quick.
King's very proved himself at least as an O.C. Last year and I feel that this year they're going to just have more wrinkles. You know what I'm saying? So like I think he's in a private position to protect Jane and Daniels from that sophomore slump because he had teams are going to have tape.
But now I was like, well shit, we can run people. We can do like there's just more wrinkles that they can do that. I think it's going to be harder to gauge what what Jamie is going to be in the second year. I think they can morph that team and progress it a little bit more.
I think Pinnix makes the jump. I think he has the weapons not count. Cal Piss, but we talked about B's on we talked about Drake. I think that the Falcons are in a great position.
I mean, I think Pinnix is really good too. I think he throws out of all these guys and we mentioned he probably brought up his ball. I mean, you talk about just period quarterback, going to ball. He's the dude that can do it.
And it's been a long time since Atlanta has had that. He tried to probably going back to Matthew. What's the name at? Right.
Yeah. So I'm going to take Pinnix as far as making the biggest leap. Then probably even winning that division and then being like Sheldon, the true NFC East Hater. I got to go with Jake Daniels.
I don't like the situation going on with Clearing because he asked for his money. I don't like to hear coach. I think that's going to dwindle down into Kingsbury adding wrinkles as to what people said. And people are going to have tape on Jay Daniels and the ceiling.
And so going to where he went to last year, the expectations going to be dramatically different. And I just don't think that he's going to be able to perform. That's it. He's not a good player because he'll bounce back and you're really for like he's going to have a good career.
But next year, I think it's going to be a really difficult year for him because they haven't done enough to solidify being a good football team and people was cool. But like who is that? And possibly having a clearing who may leave, get traded or whatever it may be like it's not a perfect storm for him to come back and have a good sophomore season. I think that he's going to really struggle this year and the commanders will be scratching the head like that.
What happened? But I don't think he's not going to be good just this year. I think it's a struggle. Thanks.
He's a strong. Do you think that Jay Jay McCarthy is going to be this year's Jay Daniels? I think that's possible. Just just I'm not saying it's strictly awful piss talent, but the answer to everything has around.
I was going to say I don't think so because I mean, like people talked about with the AOC West that NFC North. I mean, you got that's a lot for a guy who's a good point. You know, who's changing? He's changing in a best culture situation.
Are we sure the Lions are going to be roaring this season? Exactly. I'm not saying that you don't have to be great. It's the first of all, they still have division opponent.
Second of all, they got more talent than them. I mean, they got enough talent that's going to make him be thrown off because he's never played anything. I'm not scared. I'm not scared.
I'm not going to be short if I'm going to be so. As a team, as a team, yes, but as the quarterback, you don't know how much you don't know how much. You don't know how much you should get down. What's his name?
I think a lot of people look at Detroit like the Emperors naked now where it's like, all right, you got Campbell, but it's like who is it? You know what I mean? You just run with real nigga scared of them. Like who am I scared of now that's going to be gone?
Like your big brothers are gone. That was a one on one. We got to see what you can do. How are you going to delegate?
We're going to really see if Detroit and their brain trust has been grooming and elevating people that deserve to be there. Or is this going to be all on Dan Campbell and his brain trust? You want that. It's going to be interesting.
It's going to be interesting to see how JJ adjusted NFL. And I'm saying it because if we remember a couple of years ago, Michigan ran the ball a hundred times in the game several times. So it's time for him to throw the ball that much at Michigan. He really didn't have to, but we don't know if he can carry the load.
Say like a Sam Donald did with Sam Donald. We knew he throw the ball up in the question. But on those games, we got to see him throw the ball. I like to see how he handles that pressure.
My response to that show would be he did that because of the coast he had. We all heard of the good coach. I think the same thing about what's his name? Daniel, what's the new name?
He's a hell of a football coach. It takes him to do what he did. If I'm a Vikings fan, I'll put no people do reg. I'll put no Sheldon jacket and I'll step it out to a proud this year.
Like I'm ready to roll. Like the Vikings should be like they feel like they can win his business. Especially since JJ, he got here to sit. And if he's a good student of the game, he was able to learn.
He was hurt. I was saying they haven't told us nothing about his injuries since coming back. He could have played. They said they're impressed by what he's doing.
Like the players said he can carry highly. It was an ACL tear. And I feel like he could have played if the Vikings were terrible. And by early January, late December, they wanted to see what he looked like.
I feel like they probably could have went out there. I'm saying it towards a couple of games. My two is. But they were so good.
I think that because of how much pressure is on the quarterback, Caleb Williams has to take a step forward. He got everything that you could want coming into any situation in year two. I think that's an easy pick though, Nick. I'm only saying it because he has the most pressure to me.
He has the most pressure to everybody to have a better second year. I came into the season as a Jalen of Daniels fan and I knew Michael Pennix was going to get the starting job eventually. I was going for everybody else to catch up, especially the ones in Atlanta. And so I'm not worried about them.
I never believed in Bo Nix. I'm going to give them Bo Nix. Regression don't mean shit to be with Bo Nix. I don't think that good anyway.
The one that I think is going to be regressing is Drake May, which is going to be shocking because they already won't vote in the last year. Why? Why do we give him Frank Vodal race? Very bold.
Whatever his name is. Because he got it. He lost the Cincinnati in a championship game. He's going to get three seasons of being bad.
Even if you're terrible. That's fine for y'all. But to me, if Jaramel got fired for four games, if Mike Vable doesn't win more than five, then I'm like, what the fuck y'all fired? Jarafel.
As a human, you know the difference. Yeah. Right. I'm keeping the same energy.
It's not that spite. I definitely think the Patriots definitely have some leeway. But the reason why Mike Vable has respected the game is because he took a Tennessee Titan team, Mike Tanahill, as a quarterback and made him into true, like a team that you didn't necessarily want to play. You know what I'm saying?
Because you knew that the brand of football was going to be physical. It's going to be a tight, close game. And if they're with their striking, this is that you can lose that game. But the same thing that said, who's the head coach of the commanders, Lou?
You can't win. Quinn. Quinn. They acquitted the same thing in Atlanta, right, Ken?
He turned around and he got them balling. And then when he got fired, there was a long time before anybody believed him. Even Lewis questioned him now. And why?
I think the energy jumps. Why have we got the same grip? The difference is that I've been having franchise quarterback and Mike Vable did not. The only difference is they're going to be very regardless.
And we know that because they want Drake made it. They want everything to make sure that Drake made his success. Really? They gave you stuff on it.
Yeah, they brought himself on. They traded away Joe Milton because they knew Joe Milton was coming on. He had a good game at the end of the year. They made it to where he's like it's set up for him to be successful.
They took the pressure off. I'm saying they did all that. They did all that musical chairs just if they just only win five games. They got to win five games because it's like to me, I'm keeping the same.
I know what you're talking about. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm saying that they don't. It's because you write people.
You write people. You said the only difference was they didn't have a franchise QB. Well, right now the Patriots believe they have a franchise QB. That's why they brought him to me.
I believe they didn't. He don't want to fight games with this and you're too. It's not a big five. It's a good season for that.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's not about winning five games. You're stuck in the Hawks purgatory. You don't want to be good enough where you're making a play-offs but you're not really a contender.
You want to be bad enough where you can re-establish and replenish the talent on your roster. The Patriots are in a perfect position to be like, hey, we believe in this quarterback. He's still cheap. We can still potentially be bad enough where we can go get more guys now.
We have a boatload amount of tap space where not only can we drive guys. We can bring in guys next season. All we have to do is show promise. Last season, they showed promise when Drake made came in.
It's not about winning games. We can do it. We can do it. We can do it.
We can do it. We're going to do a worse of the week and then a power rankings. But before we do that, Nick and people there, Vrabel is literally running drills to teach Drake May how to be a leader. Yes, and he's also craft guys.
We gotta remember that as well. There is just crafting him, having a really close relationship, something that him and Girard the image or I may or probably never could have, but it's like, there's a lot of bacteria. I mean, they admitted that Mayo was a bad hire though. They said he was supposed to be a head coach.
And that's on craps too. It's going to be a lot different. Yeah, it is, but that's going to be a lot different from how it looks for someone who's already approving head coach. They're going to give him a couple of years.
That's the way you can do it with Mayo, and just cut him out and be like, no, you ain't got it. Well, I just don't know if, well, we got to see if Drake's going to have command of the team like that. If you have to kind of coax these things into him, or you putting him in the center of the team and having them run these drills and stuff like that, they said the same thing. I think about two at one point as some of these other guys.
And two was OK, but I don't know. We'll see. But I think Drake made some problems with people. They just have, you know, offensive players, but we'll.
