Not For Sale: EP 14 - The Narrow Escape

Following the midnight warning from Lotanna in the previous episode, Utugbaraigwe (Utu) discusses the threat with his friend Majie. Recognizing that the desperatepolitical opponent is likely behind the threat, the Majie insists that Utu and his wife, immediately move to his home for safety. Despite Utu's initial hesitation to leave his belongings, they flee just in time.Under the cover of darkness, masked and armed "boys" (including Akpamgbo) torm Utugbaraigwe's residence with orders to "strike and fall out".They search the entire house with the intent to kill, but find no one. Confused and frustrated, the thugs conclude that the occupants must have used supernatural means to disappear, as they were certain Utugbaraigwe had entered the house earlier that day.The next morning, while hiding at Majie's house, the group hears a report on the radio confirming that "unknown gunmen" attacked Utugbaraigwe’s residence during the night. The realization that they would have been killed had they stayed home leaves Utu’s wife traumatized. In her grief and fear, she begs Utugbaraigwe to step down from the election, crying, "I don't want to die". While the women go to a private room to recover from the shock, Utu resolves to report the incident to the police and return to his home with an official escort to assess the damage.
