"Not for Sunday" was produced for a TV pilot project I'm a part of. This track is heavily driven by one of my favorites, the MXR Flanger. I've combined it with some wide stereo chorus to give it some boost as well. The song is built on a tricky yet catchy little guitar hook that utilizes a lot of semi-tones to create some serious Van Halen meets Vai meets Jeff Fiorentino vibes. The bridge is a funky groove key change that also incorporates some EVH vibes with a slick and tricky set of licks. And of course the whole thing is cut down the middle with a slick guitar solo which in the case of this song is done over a unique chord patter and mode to give it some separation from the rest of the track.
