Not Just A Girl
from ASingleGirlsDiary Hosted by Jai Shavell
I'm just a girl is funny, until you realize there may be a little truth hiding underneath the joke. In this episode of A Single Girl’s Diary, Jai gets honest about what it feels like to wake up in womanhood without remembering when you actually got the chance to grow up. From being the eldest daughter and parentified child to becoming a teen mom, navigating childhood trauma, and spending much of life focused on what everyone else needed, she explores how survival can carry us into adulthood before we've had the space to discover who we are. What happens when the girl who learned to survive is now responsible for the woman’s decisions, dreams, healing, and relationship with God? This isn’t about abandoning the girl you were. It’s about grieving what she lost, addressing what still hurts, and learning to intentionally become the woman she never had the space to imagine. Because baby…we’re not “just girls” anymore.
