Today we begin the silly season with our first ever episode in the Month of December.

Our new Christmas Intro to the podcast is followed by a little chit-chat, Martin had an assignment last week to find out the official name of his rare Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

Martin goes on to tell us all about the new revolutionary drug that he is on giving battle to his cancer and the recent good news he has received following the first trials.

This week we have also been live on the BBC radio breakfast show with DJ Wayne Bavin, and we have a new fan of the Podcast. Patrick finds it a surprise to find it dark at 6.30 am traveling to the BBC.

Our Social Media has been busy too as we welcome two new celebrity followers, two of Britain's popular comedy stars Michael Barrymore and Al Murray (the Pub Landlord)

Martin has an extensive piece on Breast Cancer this week with lots of information and details. Two particular positive stories from two incredible ladies in America who have had a terminal breast cancer diagnosis (IBC) and are both now cancer-free.  Mrs Franz has been on "Good Morning America" and gives us her thoughts and treatment success. Martin also goes on to talk about Lobular Cancer of the Breast and the treatment success rate.

Martin's "Joke of the Week" one of our favourites

Cliff Richard has been in the news for the wrong reasons, find out why and what we thought.

We finally round-up with our normal summary of the Podcast and some exciting news about our future guests who have been lined up for future Podcasts in January 2024.

Household Puzzles by Pansy Loyal Books Household Puzzles peeks into the life of the Randolph family, four daughters and one son. They are financially strapped but must follow societal expectations . . . and the expectations of Helen, the eldest daughter, who is a slave to the whims of society. Half the family are professing Christians, but only the father really lives it out. Helen's marriage, Tom's job in a saloon, their cousin's visit, and other events all have an impact that reverberate through the family. (Intro by TriciaG) Tom Ossington's Ghost by Richard Marsh Loyal Books Madge and Ella have lived at Clover Cottage for six weeks when a series of strange events begin to occur. A gentleman who arrives asking for a piano lesson from Madge, suddenly bolts out the back door and over the hedge when he sees a rough-looking character watching him from the street in front of the cottage. This man in turn, runs away when he sees a shabbily dressed woman come around the corner. The woman, marches into the cottage, declaring that the cottage is haunted, and she is the wife of the ghost! An attempted burglary, and a cryptic note left at the scene, just add to the mystery. Outcast Of The Islands, An by Joseph Conrad (1857 - 1924) LibriVox An Outcast of the Islands is the second novel by Joseph Conrad, published in 1896, inspired by Conrad's experience as mate of a steamer, the Vigar. The novel details the undoing of Peter Willems, a disreputable, immoral man who, on the run from a scandal in Makassar, finds refuge in a hidden native village, only to betray his benefactors over lust for the tribal chief's daughter. The story features Conrad's recurring character Tom Lingard, who also appears in Almayer's Folly (1895) and The Rescue (1920), in addition to sharing other characters with those novels. This novel was adapted for the screen in 1952 by director Carol Reed, featuring Trevor Howard as Willems, Ralph Richardson as Lingard, Robert Morley, and Wendy Hiller. (Summary by Wikipedia)
