Not Man's Gospel - Galatians 1:11-24 preached by: Ptr. Enteng Ramoneda How do we feel when someone questions the Gospel? Paul was undeterred in his confidence in the Gospel of justification by faith alone in Christ when it was challenged by the so-called Jews, who taught that faith in Christ should come with the works of the law. This confidence of Paul came from his knowledge that he got it not from men, but through a revelation of Jesus Christ (vv. 11-120, which is the only satisfactory explanation of how he turned from an enemy to a preacher of the Gospel (vv. 13-16), and where he got his deep knowledge of the Gospel despite having no man who taught him of it (vv. 16-24). Therefore, if we are certain of what the scripture teaches about the Gospel and how it radically transformed our lives, we should be unshaken in our confidence in the Gospel though many will challenge it.
