The S&P/ASX 200 eked out the smallest of gains, rising 0.02% to 7115. It climbed 1.17% over the five trading days, logging its fifth consecutive weekly increase. Energy was again the star performer, picking up where it left off Thursday. It surged 4% to top the sector leader board. Among the big names, Santos, Whitehaven and Woodside climbed 6.5%, 5.5% and 4% respectively. While it looked quiet at the index level, underneath the surface reporting season continued to rollick along. Cochlear was a high-profile winner, jumping 2.3% after reporting record sales and lift in underlying profit. Newcrest bolstered its reputation about being among the best of the goldies, rising 3% after its full-year results. The verdicts elsewhere were not nearly as kind. TPG Telecom plunged 12.9% to take out bottom spot on the benchmark. Inghams had its wings clipped, tumbling 8.8%.
