Notes: What do you hope for in life?

what do you hope for in life? by @CharleneHao  https://www.instagram.com/p/CiTWwxePyt8/ a good college? a good career? a good relationship? a good family? a generally good life? i’ve been reflecting on where i place my hope. we hope for so much - but have we ever experienced what true hope is? biblical hope is more than wishing things will work out. it is resting in the God who holds all things in his wise and powerful hands. biblical hope is a confident expectation of a guaranteed result that changes the way you live. (tripp) we can be confident that God will do all that he has planned and promised to do. because God is the ruler of all things, we can rest in knowing that his promises and plans for us will never leave us empty or confused. our hope doesn’t rest upon our own understanding, but instead on God’s goodness and his rule. and so, when we live with true hope in the one that will never fail us, we live with confidence and courage that we otherwise would not have. Jesus is our source of ultimate hope & so let us live out our lives with confidence and joy in our never changing God.
