notforme! // Nine Blocks Down The Main
from Southern City‘s Lab Hosted by Southern City‘s Lab
"notforme!" is the acoustic solo project from Pavel Mokhort, the singer\songwriter of the Karelian punk band Six-Pack Sunday. Since 2009, he has traveled half of Russia with occasional forays abroad, playing small bars and cafes. "We Were Coalmine Canaries" is a collection of travel notes, postcards and photographs from his shoebox of memories. Keep it simple: a guitar, a shabby plaid shirt and a couple of friends. Musis & lyrics by Pavel Mokhort Mixing and mastering: George Wilder Cover by Embry Join Us! vk.com/thispageisnotforme Lyrics: I'll keep the tapes rolling Just incase you remember anything else and I'll Bring you a coffee and an ashtray Back there, in the corner There's a sink where you can wash the blood off your hands and Maybe then we could talk You've witnessed the murder And you carried the body nine blocks down the Main All alone in the pouring rain But then the rain never stops in the town of the broken Where the Beast of Indifference resides So you've been walking the streets, grinding the corners But atleast you had her by your side But now that she's gone It's all gone I'll keep the door open So if you want to go now I won't send my men Well, the morning train leaves at ten I'll hold the reporters I will feed them some lies, use a fictional name 'Cuz I was once just the same And the rain never stopped in the town of the broken Where the Beast of Indifference resides So I've been walking the streets, grinding the corners But atleast I had her by my side But now that she's gone It's all gone
