Sooo… I’d hate to lie to you good people.. Rog and Los were ready to go this week but I’ve been under the weather so I’m dropping an interview we did earlier in the week. We’ve been playing with this sequel for a minute but this is the official Nothin’ NICE to Say, “Woke”, Volume II. Once again, I linked up with Just Devaughn and Duff to revisit the concepts of wokeness and race in the culture. The pod started with us talking about the Continuum of Wokeness again (03:00), which quickly led to one of the more interesting conversations we’ve had in a minute, the Continuum of Racism or the Racist Scale (09:00). Just wait until you find out who is 0–50% Racist (28:00)… After much more talk about Trump and the state of America, we discussed our school systems (43:00), other races besides blacks and whites (47:00), the results of systems and whites in black spaces (57:00). With election season on the horizon, we took a look at the democratic candidates (1:00:00) and decided if we “have to” support black candidates. We finished with our thoughts on Nipsey Hussle’s contribution to the culture (1:18:00) and what we are personally doing to be agents of change (1:27:00).
