Nothing Else Mattress - 100 Greatest Albums. Episode 2.

We made it to a 2nd episode ( at last!). As you may be aware, we are trying to create a definitive list of the 100 Greatest Albums ever. Step 1 is to review the Rolling Stone 100 best albums list from 2020 and vote those on that list in or out. In our first episode, we voted in albums by The Band and REM, however Taylor Swift,  Lucinda Williams and most importantly Metallica didn't make the cut. In this episode, we review No's 95-91 on the RS list, with albums from Drake, The Stooges, Missy Elliot, Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Springsteen all voted on. Without giving away any trade secrets, all five didn't make the cut ( with one in particular getting a Metallicaesque pasting). There are video links at the end of the podcast to tracks from albums that were voted in too!   Our revered panel are of course on top form - although I do think that they are ganging up on the host a little :-). ( mind you, the host did suggest that Madonna's gender had changed at one point). We are all getting used to the format ( and managing our diaries) so expect more episodes pretty soon.
