I’ve been running outa life Almost all of the time. So, I’d find a dark place and disappear for the night. But I can’t let it go While the world's in my sights. And I won’t let it all mean nothing. Life falls out of the blue, then drop into the red. We don't talk about such things cause thats better left unsaid. It's the thinks that I don't speak That stay stuck in My head! While that meaning machine keep running! (running) We’re all running out the clock, And way out of our depth, Floating right past our eyes, Life ain't easily read. Am I with this world? Or way out of my head? That answer is not forthcoming. And I can’t let it all mean nothing. I won’t let it all mean nothing. I know that this all means something! And I won’t let it all mean nothing. Just when I thought that I had it all covered, Surprise?! (New Surprise!!) I've made meanings of trouble! Now I'm out of the frying pan and into the rubble. Life's relentless and just keeps coming. I was still askin’, “Why?” when the answer I found, Was something so simple. Not even profound! Its people that matter So, I’ll stand on that ground I'm done making false assumptions. I found a new way to function, By letting it all mean nothing. Now I’ve got freedom and gumption And a power that comes from nothing!
