Notre Dame Football Dominates And USC Football Struggles | College Football Week 0 2023

Week 0 came and went, with Saturday, August 26th only producing seven College Football matchups. Today, we are going to be talking about two of those matchups featuring USC Football and Notre Dame Football. The USC Trojans faced off against the San Jose State Spartans, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish kicked off against the Navy Midshipmen in Dublin, Ireland. While both dominated the scoreboard, the games had a contrasting feel, with Notre Dame winning in a flawless 42-3 performance and USC sluggishly winning in a 56-28 track meet. Sam Hartman passed for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns on Saturday and his wide receivers and runningbacks impressed, gashing Navy's defense through the air and burying them on the ground. The Irish also held Navy to averaging 2.7 yards per rush, which is impressive against a triple option team. Meanwhile, the Trojans' defense looked awful, giving up nearly 400 yards and allowing 28 points to a Mountain West Conference team. San Jose State was only down by 7 at halftime and they were competing with USC at the lines of scrimmage.
