NOTTINGHAM FOREST HIT WITH £750,000 FINE FOR EVERTON TWEET | CLUB IMMEDIATELY RESPONDS

Nottingham Forest have been fined £750,000 for their tweet after defeat to Everton at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season. Forest lost the game 2-0 but were furious after three penalty appeals were rejected by referee Anthony Taylor and VAR Stuart Attwell, now famously tweeting 'Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options.' That tweet has been viewed more than 46m times with the FA now hitting Forest with their second biggest fine ever as the club immediately said they will appeal.
