Novel CMV vaccine prevents cell-to-cell spread

In a post-pandemic world, governments around the world are looking to get ahead of whatever the next threat to public health might be. However, the traditional pace of vaccine development could seem very slow to outsider compared to the COVID-19 vaccine.  One of the herpes family of viruses, CMV has likely infected billions of people just since the 1970s.
