November 13th: Thankful for God’s Forgiveness | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and today we’re talking about one of the best reasons to be thankful every day: God’s forgiveness. We all mess up sometimes. Maybe you’ve said something you wish you could take back, disobeyed your parents, or hurt a friend’s feelings. That heavy feeling of guilt can whisper, “I blew it.” But here’s the amazing truth — when we mess up, God doesn’t cancel us. He forgives us. In 1 John 1:9, it says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The Apostle John wrote those words to remind believers that forgiveness is always available through Jesus. You don’t have to earn it — you just have to ask for it. If Jesus were sitting beside you today, I think He’d say, “You’re not defined by your mistakes. I already forgave you. My grace isn’t something you earn — it’s a gift I’ve already given you.” In this episode, we’ll talk about how to be thankful for God’s forgiveness — and how to live that out by forgiving others.
