LEXINGTON, Ky. (November 14, 2025) – THIS IS AN ENCORE EPISODE. When we think about children's health, we often picture checkups, vaccinations, and the day-to-day care families receive from their pediatricians. But in Kentucky, the conversation goes much deeper. At the same time, what was known as Kentucky Children's Hospital — now newly renamed Golisano Children's at UK, following a historic $50 million gift from philanthropist Tom Golisano — and the University of Kentucky are stepping up with bold strategies aimed not just at treating illness, but at building healthier communities from the ground up. The record-breaking gift, the largest in UK's history, will expand programs, research and statewide partnerships that ensure every child in Kentucky has access to world-class care close to home.
