This week Pastor Greg teaches from Psalm 131, a brief but profound picture of a heart at rest in God. True contentment begins with humility—refusing pride, self-importance, and the urge to control what belongs to God alone. Like a weaned child resting securely with its mother, the psalmist describes a soul calmed and quieted through trusting the Lord. Contentment must be learned, but in Christ it becomes possible: He is our strength in every circumstance, our satisfaction beyond possessions, and our rest when life feels heavy. As we humble ourselves, quiet our souls before Him, and place our hope fully in the Lord, we discover peace, joy, and the steady hope that only He can give—from this time forth and forevermore.
