Việt Lê, an artist, writer, and curator, and an Assistant Professor in Visual Studies at California College of the Arts (San Francisco | Oakland), on his involvement with the Southeast Asian Film Festival that fosters inter-ethnic dialogues, the selection and organization process of the festival, and filling the lack of representation of Southeast Asians in films. Ringo Le, an Asian American filmmaker who is of Vietnamese descent, on his film, "Big Gay Love", the importance of depicting and casting a diverse group of people, and how crucial it is to live an authentic life, even though, it goes against the societal norms.
