To Paul, faith in Christ cannot be a half-hearted affair. It must be a whole-life endeavor – one in which we are rejecting the “behavior and customs of this world” and instead offering our entire lives as “living sacrifices” to God. The New Testament scholar NT Wright once said, “Paul's whole written work, in fact, could be seen as an extended application of Romans 12:1-2.” The question is, do our lives reflect the all-consuming passion of ones wholly dedicated to Christ? Or is our faith merely an add-on to a life full of other priorities?
