This month's topic: "How important is culture in recruitment and retainment?" Rae is the director of steep-slope operations at Chinook Roofing & Gutters located in Fife, Washington. A graduate from Arizona State University, she began her career in the roofing industry in 2004. Her start at Chinook was her steppingstone job which became her career. Rae elevated herself through hard work, education, and dedication to the roofing craft. Today, she’s enjoying her role as an Estimator for Chinook and when she’s not working, she can be found volunteering. Rae’s currently on the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together – South Sound, where she serves on the Education Committee and her focus is on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). As a member of National Women in Roofing (NWiR) and one of the founding members of the Seattle Council, she’s also the Co-Chair of NWiR’s DEI Committee. Learn more at RoofersCoffeeShop.com!
