We’re back on the albums again! Part Seven, 240-231. This week features D’Angelo and The Vanguard, Joy Division, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) I really loved all the contenders for this week’s lyric title, so I wanted to mention the others that were in the running, but that were ultimately beaten out by Our House- “It was me, waiting for me” Song: New Dawn Fades Artist: Joy Division “Shut your mouth off and focus on what you feel inside” Song: Ain’t That Easy Artist: D’Angelo “Carry on, love is coming” Song: Carry On Artist: CSN&Y - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. We’re doing this! Yay!!
