George is back and ready to talk about music! Exploring various aspects of art, your hosts Stephanie and George, talked to people involved with music and then African sculptures. Later on The Sci-Files, Chelsie and Danny discuss how light can affect cognition.Stephanie and George sat down with Dewey Longuski to talk about the new The Nashville Songwriters Association International chapter in Mid-Michigan. As an aid to songwriters, NSAI works to help musicians from any genre and provide a space to collaborate. NSAI’s last meeting of the semester is Apr. 13 at the MSU Community Music School.A class at MSU where you can impact the lives of others! Yes, that does exist. Snares to Wares a nonprofit is partnered with MSU so students of different majors to participate in a project to prevent poaching by creating an alternate source of income for a community in East Africa. This year, art was the focus. To help support this project go to the RIV on Saturday morning (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) on Apr. 13. They will also be displaying these magnificent sculptures this summer at the Detroit Zoo starting on May 8.On The Sci-Files, Chelsie and Danny talk to Joel Soler about his research on light and its effects on the hippocampus, the center of the brain for learning and memory.
