NSFAS is now officially under administration following the resignation of two more board members last week. Higher Education Minister Bhuti Manamela says the scheme’s ability to function has been severely compromised, forcing government intervention. Professor Hlengani Mathebula has been appointed to take the reins as efforts begin to stabilise the embattled institution.
