NSQ: Was it a mistake to fight for our civil liberties before securing our financial freedom?

As history tells it, WEB Dubois and Booker T. Washington had two different philosophies on the best was for Black Americans to move forward after slavery (post Civil War).  WEB Dubois prioritized civil liberties and social equality.  Willing to "compromise on social equality," Booker T.
