Oil prices plunge as the United States chooses not to strike Iran for the third straight night in a row as President Donald Trump pushes for a diplomatic end to the conflict. On Monday, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to allow an executive order limiting mail-in voting to move forward. The emergency appeal comes after a lower court upheld a decision blocking the president’s order ahead of November’s midterm elections.The Pentagon is cutting off dozens of prominent Chinese universities from the Department of War’s funding. It cites concerns that American research is helping fuel Beijing’s military build-up.
