Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe testified before Congress on Thursday, where he said he is moving forward with agency reforms in four critical areas. Among these reforms is the creation of an aviation division to operate drones and a field operations division to better coordinate fieldwork. The bipartisan task force is expected to deliver its final report and recommendations on Dec. 13. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) co-chairs Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy met lawmakers on Thursday to discuss government spending reforms. Speaker Mike Johnson called it a "historic moment" for change. Musk emphasized bipartisan collaboration but avoided making specific comments to reporters. President-elect Donald Trump has asked DOGE to pursue significant cuts in government spending. Musk has proposed cutting as much as two trillion dollars from the federal budget. Authorities are still searching for the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, and have released photos of a person of interest.
