Numbers 11: Be Very Careful. God Listens To Everything You Say!

Numbers 11 gives us a clear warning against the cancer of complaining. Every word we say matters to God, words uttered in defiant doubt or honest faith. God responds to these with judgment or mercy based on the posture of our hearts towards Him. The complainers received fire and death, but Moses received a miracle, even though his heart longed for a premature death by the hand of God to avoid the heavy burden of leading such a stubborn, disorderly crowd. God knew Moses' heart was down but not defiant and thus transferred a portion of the Spirit that was on Him to 70 other men who would help carry the load of this assignment.
