Numbers 23 foreshadows powerfully the ultimate curse reversal by Jesus Christ through His death for our sins on the cross. Balaam, a devious prophet–the very antithesis of Jesus– is hired by Balak to curse God’s people and by means of omens tries to find ways to curse them, yet God each and every time makes sure that Balaam ends up blessing His people. King Balak tires to curse God’s people from the pagan hills in Moab but God blesses His children from the holy hill at Calvary by offering His only Son to absorb the curse of our wrongdoing. Turn to Him and serve Him only. He is worthy!
