Numbers 24: The Bright Morning Star Prophesied

In Numbers 24, King Balak continues trying to persuade Balaam to curse Israel, but God turns every attempted curse into a blessing. When the Spirit of God comes upon Balaam, he declares God’s protection over His people and delivers a powerful prophecy: “A Star shall come out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel.” This prophecy points forward to Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah and King. The chapter reminds us that no person, ruler, or spiritual power can stop God’s plan. It also challenges us to choose obedience over money, power, and personal ambition and to remain ready for Christ’s return.
