Numbers 35: The Place of Refuge is the Presence of the Lord

In Numbers 35, the Israelites are preparing to enter the Promised Land, and God establishes a powerful system of provision, justice, and mercy. The Levites are given cities throughout Israel, including six special Cities of Refuge where someone who accidentally caused another person’s death could flee for protection until judgment was made.
