SAfm — The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) and the South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA) say they condemn the Business Rescue Practitioner's decision to cancel 11 domestic routes. From the 29th of February domestic destinations such as Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth, will cease to be operated by SAA. NUMSA and SACCA say this will obviously result in job losses in those regions where SAA no longer flies to. The unions also say that no consultation whatsoever took place with labour as required by law, Instead of consultation, labour was merely informed of this decision.
