Nurses striking at Mount Sinai and Montefiore hospitals have reached tentative agreements on new contracts, potentially ending a nearly month-long walkout. New York NAACP says communities of color in New York are being disproportionately affected by toxic plastic. The organization is calling for new legislation to curb plastic packaging. The Bronx celebrated World Hijab Day with a fashion show at Bronx Boro Hall. It highlighted the resilience and cultural pride of Muslim women. WFUV’s Sonia Weliwitigoda reports.
