Lesson Two 1. Parents need their own personal, genuine, loving and joyful relationship with Jesus 2. Parents need to let go of fear, perfectionism, inadequacies, and failures 3. Parents need to work hard to provide the foundation of a warm and happy marriage 4. Parents need to concentrate on the heart of the child not just the behavior. Proverbs 20:6 7. Parents need to create space for scheduled and casual times discussing God’s Word. Deuteronomy 6:7 8. Parents need to provide controlled, consistent and age-appropriate discipline.
