Sam is the Son of Grizzly Smith, the brother of Jake the Snake Roberts and Rockin Robin. He is the former husband of the perfect 10 Babydoll. As a protege of Dusty Rhodes and Magnum TA- he has had feuds with Ric Flair and The Four Horsemen. He beat Krusher Khrushchev to become the NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion. At the second Annual Survivor Series PPV, he would join forces with The Ultimate Warrior, The Blue Blazer, Jim Brunzell and Brutus Beefcake.
