Florida native Arelys Valles took over the women's program at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia in April. In a few short months, Valles, who was still actively competing at the senior level this spring, is now running her own team. At the 2018 NWCA Convention, we caught up with the young coach to talk about her goals with coaching, her unique background in wrestling with her Cuban heritage and what type of coaching style and recruiting pitch she has for many first-generation college students.
