Welcome back to Mad Props! This time we are joined by Washington Spirit player Jordan Thompson! Jordan was a decorated Gonzaga Athlete and was selected with the 50th pick in the NWSL Draft in 2022. When she was two days into training camp, she tore her ACL. About Jordan Thompson - Originally from Sumner, Washington, Thompson earned Second Team All-West Coast Conference honors in 2021 and started all 81 games she played in during her five seasons at Gonzaga. Thompson also recorded six goals and two assists in her career with the Bulldogs, including three goals in six shots on goal throughout her senior campaign. Before college, she left Sumner High School as one of the greatest athletes in school history. Sumner finished second in the 4A SPSL and Thompson took home the league MVP. She earned The News Tribune's 2016 All-Area Girls Soccer Player of the Year and helped guide the Spartans to the state quarterfinals as a senior. As a freshman, she scored the game-winning goal in the Class 2A state championship game for Sumner. Proving her all-around athlete status, Thompson set six school records in one season of track. She was also a member of the Washington Premier club team.
