NYCLA Amicus Curiae Podcast is proud to share our conversation with Lewis Tesser, is a founding partner and counsel at the New York law firm of Tesser, Ryan & Rochman, LLP & Charles "Chet" Kerr advocate and senior advisor for both for-profit and not-for-profit companies and groups. Both Lewis Tesser & Charles "Chet" Kerr are members of NYCLA's Justice Center Task Force charged with investigating the problem of innocent people  pleading guilty and plea bargaining system which provides the imputus to do so. In 2019 the task force issued a report: Solving the Problem of Innocent People Pleading Guilty. This conversation hopes to provide elucidation on the issue and how to address the inherent challenges of a system intent on creating efficiencies, however in doing so it also creates injustices for those who are innocent.
